A former San Francisco 49er, John Frank played tight end for the team through two consecutive Super Bowl championships. During his tenure, Dr. Frank’s sure-handedness allowed him to catch more than 50 passes from the likes of Joe Montana and Steve Young, including two during Super Bowl XXIII in Miami. In addition to Dr. Frank’s sports career he holds his bachelor of science in chemistry and his medical degree from Ohio State University. In 1984, he was recognized as one of the Top Five Athletic Scholars in the United States, becoming a Rhodes Scholarship candidate. Currently, Dr. Frank lives in San Francisco, where he is a board certified surgeon and an active member of the Northern California Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the American Friends of Technion and the founding physician of the Delancey Street Tattoo Removal Program.
